Components:

  • Pressed tea - 50 gr.
  • Soft or melted butter - 70 gr.
  • Salt - 1-1,5 tsp.

  • Bay leaf - 2 pc.
  • Cloves - 3 pcs.

Step by step brewing:

  1. Pour milk into a saucepan and put to boil.
  2. Separate the desired amount of brew and grind in a mortar.
  3. Pour the tea into the boiling milk. Reduce the heat on the stove and, stirring constantly, simmer for 5 to 7 minutes.
  4. Add the butter and simmer for 3 minutes more.
  5. Stir in the salt and spices. Put the lid on and simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from the stove, wrap in a blanket and leave to infuse.

Drink the drink only hot.

Khursitsya tea (a kind of Kalmyk tea)

Components:

  • 4 tbsp. crushed slab tea.
  • 30ml cream or homemade milk.
  • 0.5 tbsp. fat from melted lard.
  • 15 g of wheat flour.
  • 2-3 nutmeg shavings.

Process:

  1. In a deep saucepan, pour the custard. Pour a small amount of water. Bring to the boil.
  2. Pour the milk only after boiling.

Makhta-tsya (Kalmyk meat tea)

Components:

  • 0.5 kg of lamb ribs.
  • 2.5 liters of water.
  • 250g of pressed green tea.

Process:

  • Salt.

Process:

  1. Pour the milk into a saucepan or pot. Warm it up a bit and add the tea leaves.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
